- Dr. Stevenson has been an active futurist since 1978 and
a member of the World Futures Studies Federation's Executive Council
since 1990.
He is the incoming Secretary-General of the World Futures Studies
Federation.
He teaches about communication management and modern communication
technologies. He is directing research on change within complex
communication systems, the policy aspects of modern communication
technologies and the futures of intercultural-international
communication. A current major research project examines the role of
emerging information and communication technologies in global
networking of local organizations and communities.
His early career spanned radio/television journalism, magazine
publishing and public relations, with his own practice in
Brisbane and Sydney.
- When time permits he enjoys surfing and boating in sunny Queensland,
Australia.
